Maps Overview

Choosing the wrong map or difficulty in BEAR Tower Defense wastes more time than placing a weak tower. Easy Lost Temple teaches pathing; Easy Haunted Mansion funds Quidz; Hard modes on familiar paths drop better loot — but only if your roster matches the map’s enemy mix. This overview compares stages, difficulty tiers, and reward profiles so you queue with purpose instead of guessing from the lobby UI.

Detailed walkthroughs live on Lost Temple, Haunted Mansion, and Fat Lands. Use this page when you need the big picture or when a patch adds a new stage.

Core map roster

BEAR TD’s live roster centers on distinct visual themes with different pathing rules. As of community testing through recent BEARSTAR updates:

MapRoleStandout feature
Lost TempleOnboardingClassic temple paths, forgiving Easy pacing
Haunted MansionFarm + anti-air labBridge chokepoints, Balloon Bobs, Quidz route
Fat LandsPatch / Extreme labHungry for More stage; Scrando walls, ~13 pins, map-gated Extreme
Candy-themed stagesChallengeSome hosts Extreme mode exclusively

New maps ship with balance patches — re-check this table after major Roblox updates and confirm details on Official Links Discord announcements.

Difficulty ladder

Easy

Easy reduces enemy health and speed multipliers. Use it for:

Easy still requires anti-air on aerial maps — wave five Balloon Bobs do not disappear on lower difficulty.

Medium

Medium bridges learning and challenge. Community streams often use Medium to test new maps (Fat Lands) before committing to Hard. Expect:

  • Faster Bob movement than Easy.
  • Less forgiveness when puzzles are skipped — Battery income matters more.
  • Good stepping stone if Hard lobbies feel empty.

Hard

Hard is the standard “serious” PvE tier for players with Best Towers core unlocks (Cheese Factory, Psychic, Rockstar, anti-air). Enemy HP and speed punish:

  • Duplicate Buckethead stacks without sell timing.
  • Missing Psychic upgrades before air waves.
  • Ignoring Beat Boss Waves Chained Bob repositioning.

Pair Hard with maps you have cleared on Easy at least twice — path memory beats raw tower stats.

Endless / The Descent\n\n**Endless Mode** (also branded The Descent / ENDLESS on the Roblox title) is an endurance ladder rather than a fixed clear. Use it after Hard mastery when you want wave 50+ practice — not as your primary Quidz farm.\n\n### Extreme

Extreme is not universal. Some maps gate it separately — community testing after Hungry for More tied Extreme heavily to Fat Lands and candy-themed stages, while Haunted Mansion may omit it depending on the lobby build. Treat Extreme as map-specific endgame:

  • Verify availability in the lobby before planning rosters.
  • Read Extreme Mode for roster checklists before queuing.
  • Bring fully upgraded Anti-Air answers and burst items from Best Item Combos.
  • Expect quest lines and achievements to reference Extreme clears after major patches.

Stage-by-stage comparison

Lost Temple

Lost Temple is the visual showcase map — detailed environments, readable paths, and community-first impressions from launch streams. Strengths:

  • Wide lanes for Rockstar and splash items.
  • Moderate boss pacing for learning Chained Bob mechanics.
  • Lower mental load for puzzle solving — ideal Complete Puzzles practice.

Weaknesses:

  • Less Quidz per minute than Haunted Mansion farm meta.
  • Hard still demands meta towers — scenery does not reduce HP.

Full callouts: Lost Temple page.

Haunted Mansion

Haunted Mansion adapts the classic BEAR franchise spooky mansion layout to tower defense pathing — hills, bridges, and aerial lanes. Strengths:

  • Best documented Quidz farm (Buckethead + Psychic on Easy).
  • Teaches anti-air timing at wave five.
  • Quest objectives (“Win one match in Haunted Mansion”) appear in battle pass-style updates.

Weaknesses:

  • Bridge leaks if team ignores callouts.
  • Balloon Bobs punish Early Game-only rosters.

Full callouts: Haunted Mansion page.

Fat Lands

Fat Lands is the flagship map from Hungry for More. Strengths:

  • Dense, prop-heavy pathing where Scrando blockades buy time for DPS upgrades.
  • Extreme availability for endgame squads — prep via Extreme Mode.
  • Expanded pin hunting (~13 total across the game) alongside candy aesthetics.

Weaknesses:

  • Not the documented Quidz farm — Haunted Mansion Easy still pays ~160 Quidz per clear.
  • Cookie / candy late-wave gimmicks punish static placements.
  • Extreme wipes common for teams that skip Medium and Hard ladder steps.

Full callouts: Fat Lands page.

Rotating and new maps

Beyond Fat Lands, candy-themed stages may introduce irregular pathing — purple-tinted Easy variants, Extreme exclusivity, and cookie-drop gimmicks on final waves. When a new map launches:

  1. Clear Easy once for path scouting.
  2. Compare enemy mix to Maps Hub existing tables.
  3. Update your Unlock Priority Planner if anti-air gaps appear.

Coins and tower unlocks come from account progression, not single-map grinds — but Quidz farms fund capsules that roll items explained on Items Explained.

Team composition by map type

Wide-path maps (Lost Temple, early Fat Lands):

  • 1–2 Cheese Factory or economy towers.
  • Rockstar or splash for clumps.
  • Shared puzzle duty for Battery spikes.

Bridge / choke maps (Haunted Mansion):

  • Opening Buckethead pair at spawn.
  • Psychic levels 4–5 before wave five.
  • Teammate coverage on bridge leak points waves 8–10.

Boss-heavy clears:

  • Psychic reposition per Beat Boss Waves.
  • Burst items (Cobra Tooth) at Chained Bob bridge entry.

When to leave Easy

Move to Medium or Hard when ALL are true:

  1. You own Best Towers priority unlocks or equivalents.
  2. You clear Haunted Mansion Easy without leaks on wave five air.
  3. You solve most puzzles voluntarily — Battery buff is habit, not accident.
  4. You understand sell-and-reposition on boss phases.

Rushing Hard without anti-air wastes lobby slots — use Anti-Air and Unlock Priority Planner first.

Queue the map that matches today’s goal — learning, farming, or pushing — then drill the dedicated page until pathing is muscle memory.
